Marinduque

Marinduque is a heart shaped island located at Southern part of Luzon. It is known as the heart of the Philippines.

HOW TO GET TO MARINDUQUE FROM MANILA?

1. Take a direct flight from Manila to Marinduque via Cebu Pacific Air.

You can book your tickets at their website http://www.cebupacificair.com. Travel time is around 40 minutes. This is the fastest most convenient way to get to Marinduque.

2. You can take a direct bus.

It covers everything from bus fair, terminal fee, ferry/RORO ticket and land transfers in Marinduque offered by Jac Liner. Travel time takes about 8 hours and bus fare is around 900-1000 pesos. 

3. You may commute.

You may take a bus bound for Lucena Grand Terminal or Dalahican Port. From there, you may take a ferry/RORO to Balanacan Port in Mogpog or Buyabod Port in Santa Cruz.

TOURIST SPOTS IN SANTA CRUZ

Maniwaya Island

You need to take a 30 minute boat ride from buyabod port. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Marinduque boasting of a long stretch of shoreline with fine sand and some parts with broken corals. it is great place to camp, enjoy the beach, and view the amazing sunset.

Palad Sand Bar

A small sand bar with semi fine sand surrounded with clear shallow waters ideal for swimming. It only appears during low tide, so be sure to plan your visit.

Ungab Rock Formation

This is the main attraction in Mongpong Island. It is a huge rock formation that you can climb and jump from above and enjoy the clear blue water.

Kawa-kawa Falls

Located in Brgy. Bangcuangan. Series of three cascading waterfalls, with the biggest pool on top. The basins is estimated to be at 12 feet deep.

Bathala Cave

It is a complex of several caves. Church Cave, Phyton Cave, and Secret Cave.

Bagumbungan Cave

Be sure that you are physically ready when visiting this. It takes 4 hours to explore the whole cave.
